Triggerfish

 

The Biggest Animals Kingdom and in The World | Triggerfish | The largest member of the family came to the stone triggerfish (pseudobalistes naufragium) 1 meter (3.3 feet), but most species have a maximum length of 20 to 50 centimeters (7.9 and 20). Triggerfish have an oval, highly compressed body. The head is large and ends adapted into a small chin, but strong, mouth with teeth for crushing shells. The anterior and posterior dorsal fins can swing back and forth to slow traffic. Gill plates operculum too, although at this point is not visible, drowned out by thick skin, covered with rough, rhomboid scales, forming a thick armor on their bodies. The rather strange anatomy of triggerfish reflects their typical diet of slow benthic crustaceans, molluscs, sea urchins and other echinoderms, generally creatures with protective covers and spines. Many are also small fish and some, especially members of the genus Melichthys feed algae. Some species of triggerfish can be very aggressive when guarding their eggs. Both the picasso (Rhinecanthus aculeatus) and titan triggerfish (Balistoides viridescens) viciously defend their nest against intruders such as divers and swimmers. Unlike the relatively small picasso triggerfish, the titan triggerfish is a serious threat to the unwary divers because of its size and strong teeth. Triggerfish bait thieves are known, rather ace swallow whole nibbling snacks thereof by small hooks, thick crucial for a successful deployment. Consequently, the best hard skin strip bait, squid mantle etc. Triggerfish their demersal eggs in a small hole dug in the seabed.
