Black Rhinoceros

The Biggest Animals Kingdom and in The World | Black Rhinoceros | The species was described by Carl Linnaeus bicornis rhinoceros on 10 Edition of Systema naturae named in 1758. The name means "double-horned Rhinoceros. Probably on the skull of a single Indian one horned rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis), with a second horn is artificially added by the collector This skull is known to exist and Linnaeus also mentioned India as the origin of this kind. However, he has also called on the reports of early travelers on two rhino in Africa, and when it became clear that there is only one type of rhinoceros in India, "Rhinoceros" was used to show the bicornis African rhinoceros (Rhinoceros White has ) recognized in 1812. An adult black rhino is 132-180 cm (52-71 inches) tall at the shoulder long and 2.8, but 3.8 (9.2 to 12 feet), plus a tail of about 60 cm (24 inches). Females are smaller than males. Two horns on the skull are made of keratin with the larger front horn typically 50 cm (20 inches) long, exceptionally up to 140 cm (55 inches).

The longest known horn measured nearly black rhino 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in length. Sometimes a third to develop smaller horn. These horns are for defense, intimidation and dig roots and breaking branches during feeding. The black rhino is smaller than the White Rhino, and has a prehensile upper lip and sharp, which it uses to grasp leaves and twigs when feeding The white rhino has a square lips used to eat grass. The black rhino and the white rhino is smaller in size skull, ears, and the position of the head, which is higher than the white rhino is distinguished, is black rhino as a browser, not a grazer. The key differentiation is confirmed by the shape of the two types of mouth (lips): rhino "square" white lips is an adaptation for grazing and the rhinoceros 'hooked' black lip is adapted to facilitate navigation.

Their thick skin protects the rhino from thorns and sharp grasses. black rhinos have poor eyesight, rely more on hearing and smell. An excellent sense of smell rhino alarm the presence of predators. Like many other elements of the fauna of large mammals in Africa, the black rhino was probably now a wider range in the northern part of the continent in prehistoric times as. Petroglyphs in the Eastern Desert of Egypt southeastern show relatively convincing appearance of black rhinos in these regions in prehistoric times. In West Africa, there was plenty in a region. The black rhino has been successfully introduced in Malawi since 1993, where he died in 1990. Men are not as social as women, although sometimes order that the presence of other rhinos. They are not very territorial and often intersect other rhino territories. The ranges vary according to season and availability of food and water.

The black rhino has borne a reputation as a very aggressive and easily perceived threats. Black Rhinos fighting each other, and have recorded the highest rates of mortal combat for any mammal: about 50% of men and 30% of women die in combat-related injuries. Rhinoceros adults usually have. No natural predators due to their size and thick skin and horns death However, blacks have adult rhinos victims crocodiles get exceptionally circumstances.Calves and very rarely, a small sub-adults can prey of lions as well as up. Black Rhinoceros follow the trail to use elephants to feed the water areas. They also use small ways, if they are available. Rhinos use several forms of communication. Due to their poor eyesight and solitary nature, scent marking is often used to identify other Black Rhinos. Urine spraying occurs on trees and bushes, around water bodies and feeding areas. Comments on these issues, feel rhinos see who.

Bitches in season mark excrement. Courtship before mating are snorting and sparring with the horns among males. Another courtship is bluff and bluster, where the rhino snort and swing its head from side to side aggressively before running away repeatedly. The mother and calf stay together for 2-3 years until the next calf is born female calves have stayed longer, forming small groups.

Sumatran Rhino

The Biggest Animals Kingdom and in The World | Sumatran Rhino | A mature Sumatran rhino is about 120-145 cm (3.9 to 4.76 m) high at the shoulder, a body length of about 250 cm (8.2 ft) and a weight of 500 800 kg (1,100 to 1,800 lb), although larger individuals in zoos have been known to weigh up to 1000 kg (2200 lb). Like the African species, has two horns. The larger nasal horn is also known as the anterior horn, posterior horn of the smallest in the frontal horn. Males have larger horns than females, although the species is nothing sexual dimorphism. The rhino has a small fold of skin around the neck. The skin is very thin, 10-16 mm (0.39 to 0.63), and wild rhinos seems to have no subcutaneous fat. In nature, these hairs are difficult to observe because the rhinos are often covered in mud.

The rhino is a long piece of hair around the ears and a thick tuft of hair at the tip of the tail. Like all rhinos, they are very poor. The Sumatran rhino is fast and agile, climbs mountains easily and comfortably traverses steep slopes and rivers. The Sumatran rhino is life on the plains and plateau secondary forests, swamps and rainforests. The Sumatran rhino once inhabited a continuous range to northern Burma, eastern India and Bangladesh. All known living animals occur in Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra and Sabah, Borneo. Some environmentalists hope Sumatran rhino can still survive in Burma, but is considered unlikely.

The Sumatran rhino is widely spread throughout the area, much more than other Asian rhinos, making it difficult for conservationists to protect members of the species effectively. Only six areas known to contain the community of more than a handful of Sumatran rhinos in Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park Gunung Leuser National Park and Kambas National Park, Sumatra, Taman Negara National Park in Peninsular Malaysia and Tabin Wildlife Reserve Sabah, Malaysia on the island of Borneo. Kerinci Seblat National Park, the largest of Sumatra, was estimated at a population of about 500 rhinos in 1980, but because of poaching, the population is considered extinct.

Genetic analysis of the Sumatran rhino population has identified three distinct genetic lineages. The channel between Sumatra and Malaysia was not a significant barrier for the rhinos as the Barisan Mountains along the Sumatran rhinos in eastern Sumatra and Peninsular Malaysia are more related than the rhinos on the other side of the mountains West Sumatra. The rhinos of Borneo are sufficiently distinct to conservation geneticists have advised against crossing lines with other populations. The initial test results showed that the levels of variability within Sumatran rhino populations comparable to the population of endangered African rhinoceros lower, but the genetic diversity of Sumatran rhino is an area of ongoing study are Sumatran rhino solitary creatures except for the association for mating and during child rearing.

Fields of females appear to be spaced intervals males often overlap. No evidence of Sumatran rhinos defend their territory by fighting. The Sumatran rhino is usually activated when eating little at dawn and after sunset. During the day the rhino wallows in mud baths to cool off and relax. The rhino spends most of his days wallowing. When there is no mud holes, the rhino will deepen puddles with its feet and horns. Wallowing behavior helps the rhino maintain its body temperature and protect the skin from ectoparasites and other insects. Specimens in captivity, without adequate wallowing, have quickly developed skin abscesses and inflamed chapped, eye problems, inflamed nails, hair loss and eventually die. After two to 12 weeks with a particular wallow, the rhino will abandon.

Although in zoos the Sumatran Rhino has been observed wallowing less than 45 minutes a day, the study of wild animals 80-300 minutes (median 166 minutes) per day spent in wallows. There have been few opportunities to study the epidemiology of the Sumatran rhino. The Sumatran rhino has no known predators other than humans. The elephants (Elephas maximus) and Sumatran rhino is also known that the course of action, and many smaller species such as deer, wild boar and wild dogs use routes rhinos and elephants create The Sumatran rhino maintains trails across its range. In the areas of food, rhinos making roads, always vegetated areas containing food the rhino eats. Roads Sumatran rhino found that the bottom of the rivers of more than 1.5 meters (5 feet) and 50 meters (165 feet) in diameter. The relative absence of wallows near rivers to order Sumatran Rhinoceros indicates that sometimes can take a bath in the river, instead of wallowing

The Sumatran rhino is the most vocal rhino species. The rhino makes three distinct sounds: AEA, whales and sneaks shots. The strong whistleblowing vocalizations, loud enough for the iron bars in the zoo enclosure where the rhinos were studied vibrate. Hit The complaint is heard at a great distance, even in dense shrubbery where Sumatran rhino lives. The Sumatran rhino is sometimes twist saplings, do not eat. The reproductive habits of the Sumatran rhino in captivity have been studied. The court model is very similar to the black rhino. Young male Sumatran rhino are often too aggressive with women, sometimes injuring and killing during courtship. Cincinnati Zoo Rhinos were observed copulating for 30-50 minutes, in a manner similar to the duration of rhino conservation rhino other observations Sumatra center in Malaysia has shown a series of brief intercourse. The Cincinnati Zoo has had successful pregnancies, and other rhinos have also long periods of coupling along a road can be a natural behavior. Reproductive success was finally achieved in 2001, 2004 and 2007, providing additional progestin pregnant rhino.

White Rhino

The Biggest Animals Kingdom and in The World | White Rhino | The white rhino is the largest of the five species of rhino and the largest land mammals in the world after three kinds of elephants. It has a massive body and large head, short neck and broad chest. Head and body length of 3.7 to 4 meters (12-13 ft) in males and from 3.4 to 3.65 m (11 ft to 12.0) in women, with the tail adding another 70 cm (28 inches) and shoulder height from 1.7 to 1.85 meters (5 feet 7-6 feet 0.8 inches) in men and from 1.6 to 1.77 meters (5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 10 inches) for women weighing these animals usually ranges in the range of 1360-3630 kg (3000-8000 lbs). Men, on average 2300 kg (5100 lb) heavier than females, on average 1700 kg (3700 lb). The largest recorded White Rhinoceros was about 4,500 kg (9900 lbs). White Rhinoceros also has a noticeable hump on the neck. Body color ranges from yellowish brown to slate gray. White Rhinos have a distinctive broad, straight mouth which is used for grazing.

White Rhino is the nose of any land animal. White rhinos are found in grasslands and savannas residence. Herbivores herbivorous animals that eat grass, preferring the shortest grains, the White Rhinoceros is one of the largest pure plant food. White rhinos, as well as all kinds of rhinoceros, love wallowing in mudholes, cool. White rhinos have sounds that include panting contact call, grunts and snorts during courtship, screams of fear and deep bellows or growls when threatened. Appears threat (mostly men) include cleaning your horn to the ground and low head position of the ears, coupled with the growling and shouting threats in case of attack. White rhinos live in herds or accident to 14 animals (usually mostly female). Sub-adult males will gather, often in combination with an adult woman. Dominant bulls mark their territory in the urine and feces.

Subordinate males do not mark territory. Women's territory overlaps widely, not defend. Females reach sexual maturity at 6-7 years and males reach sexual maturity between 10-12 years. The male chases and or blocks the way women scream as loud or cry if they try to leave the territory. Birth interval for the white rhino is between 2-3 years White rhinos live up to 40-50 years. Adult white rhinos have no natural enemies, their size, and even young rhinos are rarely attacked due to the presence of the mother or advantage because of their hard skin. Northern subspecies is now only in the Republic of Congo while the southern subspecies or majority white rhinos live in South Africa.

At the end of 2007, wildlife southern white rhino has increased to about 17,480 animals (IUCN 2008). Like the black rhino, the white rhino threatened habitat loss and poaching, as the Janjaweed. Horn is mainly used for traditional medicine, but not health benefits antlers, horns are also used for traditional necklaces.

Indian Rhino

The Biggest Animals Kingdom and in The World | Indian Rhino | Among land mammals native land, Asia, the Indian rhino is the second largest after the Asian elephant. This kind of heavy-set is also the second largest rhino life, second only to white rhino. Men have an average head and body length of 368-380 cm (12.07 to 12.5 feet), with a height of 170-185 cm shoulder (5.6 to 6.07 m), while women have an average head and body length of 310-340 cm (10.2 to 11.2 feet), and shoulder height of 147-173 cm (4.82 to 5.68 m ). Females weigh about 1,600 kg (3,500 lb) on average, and men usually weigh from 2.000 to 2.130 4.400 to 4.700 kg (lb). A rhinoceros horn is present in both men and women, but not in the young child. In most adults, horn reaches a length of approximately 25 cm (9.8 inches), but it was written to 57.2 cm (22.5 inches) long. Nasal horn backwards slightly curved, with a base of about 18.5 centimeters (7.3 inches) by 12 cm (4.7 inch), which tapers quickly to a smooth, even stem begins approximately 55 mm (2 , 2 inches) above the base.

The Indian Rhinoceros has thick, silver brown skin that turns pink skin folds near the large covering his body. Men to develop a thick neck, pleated A horned rhinoceros once at a distance through the northern part of the Indian subcontinent, the Indus and Ganges long Brahmaputra river basins, from Pakistan to the Indian-Burmese border, including parts of Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan. Dominant males tolerate men who pass through its territory, except when they are in mating season, when dangerous confrontations. Indian rhinos have few natural enemies, except for tigers that sometimes kill calves neglected but adult rhinos are less vulnerable due to their size. Tabanus flies, the kind of gadfly known to bite rhinos.

Indian rhino form social groups. Adult males are usually solitary, except for mating and fighting. Adult females are mostly solitary, when no offspring. Males and immature females are also consistent groupings. Groups of two or three young men often form the edge habitat dominated by men, supposedly to protect data. Young women are a "little more social than men. Groups up to 10 rhinos can be collected rolls usually dominant male with females and young, but young men. Indian Rhino has a wide range of sounds. Besides noise, Rhino uses olfactory communication. Like all rhinos, the Indian rhinoceros often defecates near other large dung piles. Indian Rhino has pedal scent glands, which are used to indicate their presence in these rhinos WC. In clusters, the Indian rhino is often convenient.

Rhinos playing fight, run, and play with a branch in his mouth. Adult males are the main instigators of the fight. Fights between dominant males are the most common cause of death in men and the rhino is very aggressive with the females during courtship. Women men forward at great distances and even face to face attack. In contrast to African rhinos, rhino cutters do not fight with horns In zoos, females can reproduce at the age of four years, but in the wild, females usually six before playback starts. Indian Rhino has a long gestation period of about 15.7 months.

Rhinoceros

The Biggest Animals Kingdom and in The World | Rhinoceros | Rhinoceros, often abbreviated as rhino, is a group of five extant species of knee-less, odd-toed ungulates in the family Rhinocerotidae. Two of these species are native to Africa and three to southern Asia. The horns are made of keratin, the same type of protein that makes up hair and fingernails. Both African species and the Sumatran rhinoceros have two horns, while the Indian and Javan rhinoceros have a single horn.

The word rhinoceros is derived through Latin from the Ancient Greek, which is composed  (rhino-, "nose") and κέρας (keras, "horn"). The plural in English is rhinoceros or rhinoceroses. The collective noun for a group of rhinoceroses is crash or herd. The five living species fall into three categories. The two African species, the white rhinoceros and the black rhinoceros, diverged during the early Pliocene (about 5 million years ago) but the Dicerotini group to which they belong originated in the middle Miocene, about 14.2 million years ago. The main difference between black and white rhinos is the shape of their mouths.

White rhinos have broad flat lips for grazing and black rhinos have long pointed lips for eating foliage White rhinoceros are divided into northern and southern subspecies. There are two living Rhinocerotini species, the Indian rhinoceros and the Javan rhinoceros, which diverged from one another about 10 million years ago.  Interspecific hybridisation of black and white rhinoceros has also been confirmed

Kinds Of Rhino :

Sumatran rhinoceros

This small hornless ancestor resembled a tapir or small horse more than a rhino. The smallest hyracodontids were dog-sized; the largest was Indricotherium, believed to be one of the largest land mammals that ever existed.  The family Amynodontidae, also known as "aquatic rhinos", dispersed across North America and Eurasia, from the late Eocene to early Oligocene.  The family of all the modern rhinoceros, the Rhinocerotidae, first appeared in the Late Eocene in Eurasia Also known as the giant rhinoceros, Elasmotherium was two meters tall, five meters long and weighed around five tons, with a single enormous horn, hypsodont teeth and long legs for running.

Of the extant rhinoceros species, the Sumatran rhino is the most archaic, first emerging more than 15 million years ago. The Sumatran rhino was closely related to the woolly rhinoceros, but not to the other modern species. The Indian rhino and Javan rhino are closely related and from a more recent lineage of Asian rhino.
