White Rhino

The Biggest Animals Kingdom and in The World | White Rhino | The white rhino is the largest of the five species of rhino and the largest land mammals in the world after three kinds of elephants. It has a massive body and large head, short neck and broad chest. Head and body length of 3.7 to 4 meters (12-13 ft) in males and from 3.4 to 3.65 m (11 ft to 12.0) in women, with the tail adding another 70 cm (28 inches) and shoulder height from 1.7 to 1.85 meters (5 feet 7-6 feet 0.8 inches) in men and from 1.6 to 1.77 meters (5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 10 inches) for women weighing these animals usually ranges in the range of 1360-3630 kg (3000-8000 lbs). Men, on average 2300 kg (5100 lb) heavier than females, on average 1700 kg (3700 lb). The largest recorded White Rhinoceros was about 4,500 kg (9900 lbs). White Rhinoceros also has a noticeable hump on the neck. Body color ranges from yellowish brown to slate gray. White Rhinos have a distinctive broad, straight mouth which is used for grazing.

White Rhino is the nose of any land animal. White rhinos are found in grasslands and savannas residence. Adult white rhinos have no natural enemies, their size, and even young rhinos are rarely attacked due to the presence of the mother or advantage because of their hard skin. Northern subspecies is now only in the Republic of Congo while the southern subspecies or majority white rhinos live in South Africa.

At the end of 2007, wildlife southern white rhino has increased to about 17,480 animals (IUCN 2008). Like the black rhino, the white rhino threatened habitat loss and poaching, as the Janjaweed. Horn is mainly used for traditional medicine, but not health benefits antlers, horns are also used for traditional necklaces.
